Joseph nodded as he thought, “Take care of yourself.”

After hanging up the phone, Joseph looked with a cold expression at the pile of materials on the desk.

“Master.” A servant knocked on the door, “Miss Downey has arrived with her family and they are talking to Mr. Beckham. Would you like to have dinner now or later?”

He then left the kitchen and walked to the front yard. At the door, he could hear the conversation.

“Before being raised by the Downey Family, Hayden spent her childhood in our family, whom we actually treated as our own daughter.” That was Hayden’s uncle Nathan talking.

“Oh, you’re here.” Mr. Beckham beckoned to him, “Come on. Why are you so late? We’ve been waiting for you for a long time.”

Keeping quiet, Joseph chose the position next to Mr. Beckham, where he could look at Hayden. Between them was a long tea table.

Noticing Hayden’s hint, winking at him, he frowned, “Why not call the children now that dinner is being prepared in the kitchen?”

It was the longest sentence he could say because he wasn’t good at livening things up.

However, Hayden’s aunt turned a cold expression on him, “Let them take sutime. Don’t you know how to take care of a child? If they are here before dinner, it will be hard for them to be obedient and they will become even more naughty at dinner time.”

Noah understood what Joseph meant, so he took Hayden’s hand seriously, “He’s right. Mom, you should consider it cautiously.”

Joseph felt uncomfortable and sad as if he had an ungrateful son.
