Mrs. Beckham frowned.

Hayden found that a beauty like her was still elegant when she frowned, even though she was no longer young.

Hayden was speechless at her words.

When they left the cafeteria, Hayden sent her back to the hospital as politely as possible.

And they ran into Benjamin who was looking around.

“Okay.” Benjamin tugged at his sleeve and said hesitantly, “You know my secret?”

“Which one do you mean, do you mean that your mother is the boss of the Maple Sugar Inn, or that you’re Joseph’s half-brother?” Now Hayden was really upset.

These days she treated him like her own brother and even gave him the key to her house. But he kept a lot of things from her until she found out all his secrets by herself. If she hadn’t discovered anything, he would have continued to keep things from her.

“Really. I need you to explain.” Hayden snorted, “I’ll give you five minutes because I have to pick up my daughter.”

He was quite nervous and said slowly, “I’m not a bad person, if I were, I would have told Joseph that Noah is your son.”

Hearing this, Hayden’s countenance changed to surprise.

Benjamin was now as nervous as a child who has done something wrong.

The two were silent for a while.

There was now a lot of traffic on the street, N City looked prosperous, lit up by neon lights.

However, no one was talking at the hospital door.

Then Hayden clenched his fist, “I can trust you, but first you should tell me what you have done in the last two years to get close to Joseph. Otherwise, I can’t believe you befriended us for no purpose. If you tell me everything, I will consider whether or not to help you hide your identity from Joseph.”

In Benjamin’s mind, he would get in trouble if Joseph knew he was his half-brother.
